I have been researching 14' boards and demoing a selected range and thought I had decided on what I was going to buy.
Then I started thinking about second hand boards. For three main reasons:-
1. Environmental issues, such as not creating demand, reuse of an already produced product, less pollution at all phases of use etc etc.
2. Availability of chosen model.
3. Do I really need a new top of the range board and would my limited skills be wasted on it.

So I looked in the Seabreeze Buy and Sell section. There are heaps of boards for sale in there, all top makes are represented and sizes and prices are right across the range.

My interest was peaked by a Joe Bark 14'er. If you look at the videos, results from racing and test sessions these boards appear to be the ducks nuts! Joe Bark and Jim Terrel appear to be at the top of their game.

If anyone out there has any thoughts, good or bad, on BARKs I would like to hear your views. Also does anyone else have any thoughts on reuse or recycle of surf products.
Thanks
ET.

Notice that nearly all the vids of Jimmy Terrell etc being awesome on Dominators are in flat water.

Great flat water unit for light-medium riders. In chop they have a bit of a tendency to steer off the nose and get pushed a bit with the slicey nose. Been on a couple of Doms and other Barks and if you like your pies (a lot, as I do) it can be a bit hard to get forward enough on a Dom to trim the tail for nice release, plus construction tends to be a bit on the light side so they can be a bit flexy.

Others may have different views.

It may not have sold yet but Sup Gear Australia has a second hand one in excellent condition. It's owned by one of the guys who regularly does the Time Trials on Narrabeen Lake.
I have the 12'6" and it's very good on the lake and ok in the ocean probably due to the paddler not the board.
