Does anyone know the weight of the Surf Board Warehouse 10'6" Aura board. Its so hard to find out the info on these boards.
Does it surf well / turning ability.
Some boards are great on a wave but so hard to catch a wave its ridiculous.
Any genuine info would be appreciated.

Hi mate, cannot find the weight anywhere, but as a rule of thumb the lighter the more expensive the board. So I don't believe the board will be a light weight, but it still should be fine for smaller rolling waves.

And watching the product video on their website it surfs those types of waves well. Although they don't state what size the board is in the video.

And if that point break came with each board sold, I will buy two

I do appreciate the reply. I ride a 10foot Sonova now and have had the Starboard Wedge plus the starboard Whopper but I'm just looking for a lighter board around the 10' mark. Being close to 68 years old the weight plays a part in getting it to the water. If I could get a carbon board built I would but who does it that's in Oz.

Hi mate, Deep custom boards at Burleigh Heads might be worth a look. My Naish Nalu 10x29 was around 10 kg, great on a wave, needs some work waiting around out the back.

I now have a custom Smik mini style lord 9'1"x31" under 10 kg and stable waiting for waves and will catch just about anything. Fantastic on a wave too, you could get in touch with Smik about the weight of the 10 foot boards as they have a vast range of sizes.

First, check that the weight is for the board with or without pad.

Also, look at past models. Second hand and discounted models will be cheaper, plus the weight is a compromise brands have to reach between weight/price/durability, and this compromise often vary with the years as the brands try to target their markets.

For instance, Gong in the last half of 2019 made ultra light boards (5.8kg including a 600g pad for a 120 liters board), but they chipped too easily on the rails, so the same models are now around 7.5kg as they added sandwich on the rails & bottom, and more protective paint/varnish. Needless to say I promptly changed my quiver for late-2019 models, even chasing second hand ones.

Alas I have not a lot of info on what is available in OZ to advise you on specific models, but in a nutshell, try to chase discounted or second hand high end boards, you will not find cheap new light boards (people looking for cheap boards want durability). Custom boards are often VERY interesting second hand as their resale price is so low.

The only option at this point would be to drop into one of their stores and pick one up in your hands. You could try calling, if the right person answers the call, you might get the answer to your question.
Based on one of their longboards that I own, I wouldn't necessarily equate the lower price point with a heavier board. The longboard I own, a Beau Young designed model, is great to surf but the build quality is not the best. Based on the construction that it's supposed to have, I'd have expected my board to be much heavier than it is... with better longevity than it's showing.
Again, mine's a longboard not a SUP, and surfs great, exactly as it should from a Beau Young design.... but the board has more deck depressions/compressions than all my other boards combined. One might argue that you get what you pay for?

I do believe there's a place in the market for the Surfboard Warehouse boards - but if you're looking for it to be your 'go to' board, you might be better off grabbing something 'better' from the used market?

All that said, I do see plenty of Atlantis SUPs out in the surf. Maybe their SUPs are built better than their surfboards?

Jimmy Lewis boards are about as light as you'll get & available in Oz. 10' Striker, 10' Destroyer, 9'6 Super Frank ...

I have a SMIK style lord 10' x 28" that comes in just under 8kg including fins and rail tape.
