Thought I would chime in a few thoughts. I've got a 3 board quiver... 8'7 Placid, 8'10 STEEZE, and a 10'Style. The Placid is my choice for larger, punchy, stronger waves. The Style is great for smaller, softer waves. And the STEEZE is for just about ANYTHING. While I generally ride the Placid or the Style, if I had to choose only ONE board I would go with the STEEZE. It handles just about everything well. I've traveled with it to Mexico, El Salvador and have ridden everything from Hurricane surf to small summer swells here locally and it's always been up to the task. It's a great board to have in the quiver!!

I've always seen the Steeze as a copy of the JL Striker. Nothing wrong with that as shapers always take bits and pieces from other designs. The two boards are so similar.but I think the Steeze might win on the rails.

I have got a few go on my new longboard 9'2" 28" 114litres that goes well, but I would better get an 8'10 29". Because I would have the easy life paddling, wave entry, bottom turn crank, forward stance to nose-riding, and one important feature to be not cumbersome to zigzag through mates down the line.
Here below are the dims as they are by now (9'2" 28" 114litres), and the next one shortens to 8'10"29" 114 litres.

Here are pictures of the actual 9'2" that I want to reduce to 8'10''. I will erase the channels and do a carbon lamination instead of the three wood stringers with glass-also, no more step Deck but thinner the front rail to secure nose riding manoeuvres.
