Anyone still riding their 10ft Mistress ?

Don't see or hear much about them anymore. I know they aren't made or sold anymore but just seeing if anybody still rides them and what they think of the performance.

I had the older Runway that I sold to a friend that still has it... An interestingly fun board and probably closer to a true nose rider than much else on the market nowadays....

I was also up at the Port Stephens SUP Challenge last month and the guy who won the 10' O50's Div was on a Mistress.....

Still running mine on a regular basis. Performs as good as the day I bought it. Such a fun board.

Had one but sold it as was more focused on bigger wave boards. Awesome board if you can find one. Like a few of the models in the atlantis/waterborn range they have a cult following. Sub $1000 solid as a rock and a lot of fun

Yes still riding my Mistress great fun board, possibly one of the more underrated 10' boards and as mentioned
closer to a traditional noserider. Pity they didn't keep producing and refining the model, it was slightly
ahead of its time.

I use to have the 9"6 Runway, just like the others mentioned here it is probably the closet to a true nose rider. I still have it in the family, IMHO a very underrated board..., to put it into perspective I also own and surf regularly the 10'x28 carbon pro on choppy days and now 10'1 x 26 deep on perfect pumping days,

Interesting that you very rarely see these boards come up for sale! Also the atlantis Venom does not appear very often for resale. Both these boards were interesting functional designs, the latter style being picked up by other manufacturers in that size range. What ever happened to the the creativity of the original design machine, for reasonably priced gear? I know that the company that produced the above mentioned, was sold and it would seem
that the creativity along with it! Would love to know what happened to those original people ( Tim ) as I believe there
was a great opportunity to try different equipment , which was good, at an affordable price. Anybody know, or care?

I care, but do not know. I've been wanting to ask the question too for a while now as to what happened to them - the current range offered by them is so limited and mainstream/cruiser focused. Considering the shapes they had in the past (and how well they were received) it's incredible they went that route. I've still got a venom (potentially the most versatile board I've ever been on) and a runway (I'm annoyed I didn't upgrade to a mistress to save myself a couple of kilos) and will keep them until they fall apart (no signs of anything like that happening yet though).

Great to get a response , i thought perhaps i was a bit of a die hard fan. Wish that i had purchased the Venom, just missed out. I have the mistress , the 8'Vex and a 6'10" bam Bam. The latter is a really fun board in the right conditions.
I think Colas compared it to one of the Gong models in a earlier thread, maybe even suggested that it was a copy. Anyway all of the above models were functionally good and really well priced and durable. Wish I could get out of lock down and have a crack on one. Stay well all! P.S Would be keen to get hold of a Venom if anybody knows of one for sale!

I ride the venom weekly and it is such a good board. I also have the 12ft PSH Ripper which is heaps heavier for the bigger day bombs. The venom is nice and light and lively being carbon ....pretty much copied from the PSH. Mine still are going strong as the day i bought them.
Tim was great at trying new designs across a variety of sizes, shame he is not doing it anymore.
Love my Mistress still. I also have Sunova and DEEP boards in my quiver. All good boards IMO.

rode my mistress on the weekend due to damaging my regular rider Striker down in Denmark and North Korea Perth coming into summer (and big shark) conditions.

Long board background and love spending time up the front so typically ride a 10 inch single fin in it but sometimes find it a bit unwieldy. Also the tide was ultra low and I'm sick of sanding my fins back after reef damage so threw on the Quobbas with the large Quobba centre and medium sides. OMG. So much fun. The Quobbas gave so much hold when up the front but turning from the back was a revelation for such a big flat board. Not taking them out and going to give the helicopter trick a crack next time and keep working on the drop knee. Love this board. Heavy as buggery but once you get her in the water and wind her up, holds her line and speed beautifully.
