Have you contacted the guys at Onboard / Channel Islands, in Mona Vale?
Sydney Northern Beaches is Australia's Surf Mecca!

I bought an Al Merrick 9'1" couple of months ago.
Great board. Had a demo on a 10'1" and loved it so i went for the smallest one.
I am 68 Kg. Was on a 10'5 starboard before. The 9'1 turns so much better for me.
I have only been sup'in for a year and had no prior surf experience.

Even the 10'1 Merrick I demoed had a ton more performance than my starboard.

Easy to get demos on Naish,Starboard ,Psh or any other brand but almost impossible to get demos from Surftech they could be losing a sale!

I got mine from JM Sup at palm beach on the gold coast.
They did'nt have a demo in the 9'1 but let me have a go on the 10'1. After riding that i knew i wanted one so I bought the 9'1. I wanted a shorter board and being light i wanted the lower volume.
That v in front of the fins makes it so easy to turn. Very happy with this board.

They only stock Surftech and have about 40 new boards in store.
They make great coffee too, and are more than happy to have a chat.
