I have now riddin this board for two days in surf from 6 foot to 2 foot, i wont go in to the build or finish of the board because we all know by now that it is top class.

First ride was at snapper 4 to 6 foot, i jumped on and paddle straight out though the waves and noticed how easy it went through the white wash, got straight out and caught a couple of fat waves out the back to get use to it, it held its speed really well with a couple of nice long drawn out turn it was feeling good. It was just as easy to get on the waves as the 10'6 naish, so after a few more fat ones i picked up a sucky one and the board came alive where i once would have done 3 or 4 turns i was doing 8 or9 and hunting down the lip to hit again and again got dark so went in.

Day 2
Currumbin it was 3 foot to start with and slowly eased through the day , rode pretty much all day and the board just got better and better top to bottom turns one after the other and when i hit the lip you can control the board and not let the board control you like some of the bigger ones do. It is by far the best 9'6 board i have riddin and i have riddin a few.

PROS: easy to get waves
: nice and stabbe
:turn like a gem
:build quality is top notch
:grip easy to put on and is siht loads better than wax

CONS : Have to get back to you on this one as still stoked with it and have found nothin wrong yet

PS: we demoed this board and the 11'4 over the last 2 day and not one person had anything bad to say about them we had guys well over 100kgs on the 9'6 and they paddled it no worries at all. Iwill be getting the SA 25 large fins in the next couple of day and i will let you know the results

I don't know why some one would red thumb that review, anyway. the board is awesome. Wait until you try it with the S25 larges, it will blow your mind. I have told surf hardware that they need to order significantly more S25's as I think everyone will upgrade their fins once they try it.

We've got some big swell coming in the next days, so hopefully will get out for some leasure sessions!

Had few good sessions on both the 9'6 and 11'4 on the weekend and today.

I am totally in love with both boards but for waves the 9'6 is like nothing else I've ever ridden. I couldn't believe how stable it was and how nice it is to surf, i had no trouble throwing it around.
Great quality and it shows as we sold out of our the first shipment of 9'6's in 2 days!

And the 11'4 was wicked, didn't feel like you were riding waves on a 11 foot board! Turns sharper and faster then the 10'6, i think so anyway. The sharper rail and step deck makes this board great for both flat water paddling and waves.

Everyone loves both boards, and majority rulz i say.

Couldn't agree more, Paul. Your first surfs sound exactly like mine. Blows your mind, hey?

Great review ... love the format.

OK im gonna give this Review thing a go.
Just had a magic SUPS out at Burleigh Heads on the Goldy for about 3hrs on my 9'6 Naish then sat in the bar right on the beach at the surf club sliding down a few Rumbos watching the waves roll in just as the sun was going down. [So ive Had a little Dutch courage to share this with you]

Ok first a few quick things you should know about myself.
Back in 2003 i was diagnosed with severe Osteo Arthritis of the hip joints due to many years of semi pro Soccer which was my biggest passion in life. The disability of having two dodgy hips also stopped me instantly from my second passion Surfing due to not being able to get to a standing position. Ive been kite surfing for the last 3 1/2 years which is awsome and got me back on a surf board riding waves
As i needed that wind to surf you can imgine what i was like when there was perfect waves and glassy conditions[ no wind ]

October last year Jb was up at the Goldy demoing a few different boards, after having a few goes and struggling to keep getting to my feet because of my hips after continuously falling off, i wasnt too sure about the whole SUP thing.
Well My local Kite shop gave me a deal on a 11'6 Naish and within a week i had my own technique using the handle of my paddle to assist me in standing up from a kneeling position. Yeahhhhhhhhh.............
I was 84kgs when i started and soon out grown the 11'6 droping 15 kgs from all the Surfing finding it very easy to throw around on most waves. I had been on the 10'6 Naish up untill 4 weeks ago what a great board a little tippy but very easy to surf and pick up waves from point breaks to beachys. Pauly J and Ang got me in the first 9'6 Naish that they could, i have been riding it for the last 4 weeks just about every day, this is a Magic board. Im now only 70 kg and this board just feels so light and easy to throw around .I had a few random guys that are Burleigh local surfers comment on how easy i picked up waves and maneouvered the board and are keen to have a go.
To me its more stable than the 10'6 Naish and also the C4 9'4 which is also a nice board to ride in the right wave,
the 9'6 likes to really be driven in to a turn you think youre about to push too hard then it just grabs and takes the turn so smooth.
For me its just a great allround board catching the same waves as my 11'6 and as easy, its so stable for a short board even with my stuffed hips.

I have ridden alot of the other boards on the market around the coast here from C4 to starboards local shapers and some mates home made boards which i will say are are alot better than the local shapers and surf very well.

So if you get the chance to try The Naish 9'6 get ready for the new world of suping
just make sure you give it a few days to Dial it in , I think you wont be disapointed

Thanks Guys

Marty
