Hi Mate,
i brought the vibe a couple of weeks ago.
Im 82kg and have had the vibe out in a variety of conditions up to head height.
its a great board to surf with ive got it set up as a quad. (buy yourself a decent set of quads)
I had it out this morning in bumby conditions its hard work waiting for a wave.
But once your surfing its a blast, the board flew over sections like a short surfboard on steroids. It tracks close to the pocket of the wave and is very responsive. I cant wait to surf it in clean conditions.
It has a fairly round nose this helps paddling out thru the surf. im having lots of fun with this board but it is a bit of work in the chop and waiting for the waves.
At 87kg if your experienced i think youd have a lot of fun it may be a challenge but once your surfing youll enjoy the ride.
The board construction looks well made and solid.
Hope this helps you . cheers

Thanks Everyone.
I'll hold off and see if there may be one to demo in a couple of weeks down at merimbula.
Not keen on customs Sharpie high risk of getting it wrong and its awfully hard to re-sell customs.
cheers glenn

warwickl. Stand as normal. Use your paddle like an outrigger for balance if you need it.

Use the biggest centre fin you can get away with without reducing the boards performance too much. It'll give you more stability when waiting for waves.

Hi Thommo
I saw the other posts and agree with the fitness development of perserving.
I'm 87K and just bought the naish 8'5 ,first couple of weeks was difficult even straining my back the first week.
you do get used to it and the reward is worth the effort.
However bumpy days I have to keep moving which is a little difficult as at times it puts me out of position.
Thats why I,m looking for a second more stable board for the choppy days.
hope this helps

I have the Coreban 9' Fusion 85kg can handle a lot of chop I use it as a quad I thinned out the back fins to loosen it up a little, does not need much of the back of the standard fins. Wont get tired on this one so easy. Try one mines the 2011 model.

Hi Col303

Agree

I have a 2011 Fusion Pure but was wanting to go smaller just to get an even smaller board level of performance.

However wanting any and all advice for 8' 6" but agree time on it on water is key. I am ok with the stability on a 9 ft but struggle at the 8' 6" ish size while standing -no problems once on a wave.

What fins do you get with a Vibe?

Four of these 3,5" plus a biggish centerfin?

So what sort of quad fins should I get?
