Hi mate, great surfing and a master class in foot work for those figuring out how to turn a SUP. Looks like the SP25 was made for you.

Fantastic session - but the question is, how do you decide between Flow V2, Kanga, or the SP25?

It is getting hard to decide which one to grab

Thanks Busman, luckily I started surfing in 1964 when all boards were big and heavy... you had to run all over them just to turn the things!

My 9' Flow V2 has always eluded me..... so I got a 9'4 to see how I liked if for the bigger SUPsters.
I seem to get on with the 9'4 somewhat better, but only 1 session on it so far.
Next go around, I will get an 8'8 Flow V2, because some breezers told there is a big difference between the 9'0 and 8'8, so I want to find out.

Both my Kanga's rock. The 8'9 will get more attention than the 9'6 because it is so new to me, that I am finally letting people borrow my 9'6.

The SP25 has been so sick in both the 8'8 and 9'5 that it's gonna be hard to decide..... EZ fun or ripper
I'll have a video up soon on the 9'5 SP25
I had previously thought the bigger SP25's were too big by virtue of their numbers.
I tried one in Mexico and it proved that I was totally wrong.... it rips and is stupid stable, so I ordered one and love it!
Another big boy ripper.... nothing but good in THAT!

bottom line:
There are now so many good shapes, that picking the right one is a matter of small details.

Rick, I discovered your channel on YouTube about 9 months ago and I think I watched all of your videos, so it was a pleasant surprise to see that you are active on this forum when I joined here. Needless to say, you are an absolute inspiration and trying to emulate your footwork has transformed my sup surfing. Keep the stoke, brother.

Ha ha, loved the behind the scenes talk at the end!
And the actual content of course.
At least I know I've got potentially 20 odd years of surfing left in me.

Hi Seb, thanks for great feedback!
footwork came from surfing the big mals in the 60's.
It's definitely been handy for moving around on SUPs !

Ha ha.. she was really nice!
As I was leaving she asked if I was filming the ocean.
we ended up talking for quite a while. She was on the Cape working on a music video. She made a nice ending to a great session

Think you just inspired me to try my SP25 again.

And I love that you're ripping more than the skinny guy who was out there with you! (No offense to you skinny folks. I just appreciate a man of substance who can rip.)

Thanks BigMak
My 9'5 treats me as well as my 8'8, so yeah.. give it another go!
I ride both of them as thrusters since that is how Sean rides his. Both with Quobba's.
My 8'11 has always been quads with baby backs.

Sweet pocket surfing. The small board is just like you say, freedom. Some nice dims in the width and volume for comfort. And that surfed out tired smile at the end, classic stoke.
