Yes Hoppo, being a Jimmy Lewis fan,and not very heavy I'm thinking of moving on as they will not do a lean version ,and the smaller boards are way over volumed for lighter riders, and as I understand Jimmy will not do a custom ,unless in Hawaii ,so this makes the Smiks very appealing as Scotty loves doing customs at a reasonable price
Yes I have had a chat to Simon, not sure about $500 cheaper,as I require some extra deck reinforcement, with a 12 week lead time, probably worth the wait but not yet,as Simon says lead time reduces mid year, nice guy very enthusiastic about his prouduct.
These are two boards I have also looked at . As a ligbo the rider at 60-63kg always on look out for board with a good balance between volume , width and thickness . I have recently realized that 26 wide is really hard for me even as a lightweight . The 711 Speeed is awesome but if there is any sidechop or backwash i am falling in all the time . The 7'7 Flow V1 is a nightmare in terms of stability . I need to get rid of this board The two boards that came to mind as options are the 7'7 Destroyer and 7'8 Smik Twin but both fairly voluminous . The Starbard Hypernut has also beefed up at smaller sizes . Boards seem to be getting more voluminous in the standard shapes . It's a pity the Starboard Airborne no longer exists

My last smik was about a 5 month lead time. So 12 weeks isn't too bad.

I have had my 7'7" Destroyer for over 12 months and cannot be happier. I am 70kg and it is manoeuvrable, has awesome speed (my setup is as a quad) and provides great stability. Believe all the reviews. Very impressive board.

Massive hold ups on all boards back then. I'm getting a smik custom arriving soon. A couple of months from order to delivery.
