I just picked up a 7'11" Evoke SUP.
It is 32 wide and 130 litres, super stable, and great to ride and turn. And really well made.
A real joy to ride.
I was wondering why other brands don't make short fat SUPs. I know some board brands do.
I have been riding a SUP for nearly 15 yrs and have had many many SUPs including a lot of short ones, but all were pretty unstable in Sydneys cross shore or onshore conditions.
This board is a gem!!

Errr... 7'11" x 32"?

"why other brands don't make short fat SUPs?"
... Most boards models in all brands are longer and narrower than this!
I don't know where you got this impression.

Oops, sorry, I read the opposite of what you said!

I guess short and fat SUP work really great in weak, slow waves, thus you wont find a lot of shapers willing to experiment with them in countries with decent waves like OZ :-)

And for Waterborn, they shared at a time a Chinese factory with Gong, so they got "inspired" by their small wave designs (notably their Bam Bam, a copy of the Gong Fatal)
