Very old and new together. Castle of Doornenburg.
Nose of the 2017 Javelin is more in the water as the 2016 version. You have to stand to the front to get the nose in, the board will benefit from it, faster. The 2017 is even more stable because of the more recessed deck, therefore there is also less water on the deck, why? I don't know, they nailed it shapewise. So you are standing less in the water, handy especially in colder conditions as we have here in Europe. I have a 14x24 and didn't even have to adapt. First I waa a little tensed to get on such small board, but this one is stable for its width. I found the Naish fin too small for flatwater tracking, less strokes per side. So I ordered a VMG time trial. Get this one next monday.
