Just got the 2014 SIC MAUI Bullet 14' v2 and I would like to share some photos and videos.

Nose rocker looks flatter dan the 2013 wich I have, more volume there to, wonder what the differences are on the water.
I love the steering on mine, is yours a DCC ?

Nice board, I have the Bullet 12'5 SCC but I'm thinking of upgrading to the 14 V2 ASS.

Very nice.. Not sure if I like the red 'monkey bum' tail.. Kidding..

Love the hole in the bag idea so you can use the handle once it's in the bag..

Are you sure your 2013 Bullet 14.0 is a V2 and not a 14.0 V1 production board?

As far as I know the differences between the 14 V1 and the new 14 V2 Bullet are:
1). Flatter rocker line to suit smaller DW conditions.
2). Volume/wide point moved forward.
3). Slight change in width to 27.25".
4). Only available in SCC construction.

Can't wait to get mine!! :)

I agree with your description 1.- 4.
To exclude misunderstandings, the Bullet 14.0 V1 is a quite up-to-date model and not "old",
so is the Bullet 14.0 V2 not a "successor" of the 14.0 V1 but a separate model with different characteristics.

They are VERY different boards. For instance, the V2 has a single concave mainly up front but the V1 has a kinda double most of the length. The plan shape is different, the rocker is different, the nose is completely different, the tail is different (much finer on the V2) the rails are different etc etc. The V2 is also almost 2 inches longer than the V1.

They are very different boards designed for very different DW conditions. They need to be ridden in different ways too. But there is the same definite SIC feel to their handling, and the stability of both boards is similar (but then they are the same width).

I'll be keeping the V1 for big gnarly DW conditions, and use the V2 for smaller ocean conditions.

@area10, and, if you are lucky enough, there is also the awesome Maui built hollow moulded V3 which is pretty much exactly the same as the production V2 except it's 1/2" narrower, much lighter,(Ultra light carbon layup is approx 10kg) and you can customise the colours. :)
It's off the back of two days on a Maui V3 that I decided I had to have a production V2. Should be heaps of fun.
I know exactly what you mean when you mention that "SIC feel to their handling". :)

Hey DoctorWho - the SIC Bullet 14V2 is a great board. These are very popular at Hood River and the Puget Sound area in Seattle. I have
one and love it. One of the best downwinders out there.

One note of caution: if you regularly DW in steep short period conditions of moderate size I don't think I'd recommend the rudder on a V2. I was in those conditions yesterday and on each bump I was having to get my back foot right over the fin to keep from pearling - there's much less rocker on the V2 than the V1 or other DW boards like the Coreban Dart, Naish Glide v1 or 2, M14 etc. With your feet so far back you aren't gonna get to use the rudder to steer on a bump in those conditions unless you are gonna do the splits every time. Fortunately the V2 Bullet is the easiest DW board I've ever tried in terms of steering from the tail.
