Hi folks. (Especially DJ)
I have just made a bargain deal on a 2014 glide. It's the old model in this thread: www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Stand-Up-Paddle/Review/The-new-2014-GS-14-Glide/
And when I read that DJ said it was 27" wide, I went and measured it right away. On the bottom it says 29 1/2" wide, but it IS 27!!
I thought it looked narrow in the shop but then again I don't see many 14' boards so it could have been an optical illusion.
I'm ok with it as I'm a lightweighter with fairly good balance so I'm not returning it, but I wonder if any of the other measurements are true.

Wow!! I've got the GX. Wonder if it's the same? Probably would be.

Lucky you.. What you have is the version two (V2) shape Glide in the new V3 shape colours.. They were a mistake at the cobra factory.. I have one and I will never sell it.. It's the classic DW rockered nose shape.. Not as fast on the flat as the new low rocker shapes but they are more relaxed and easier on downwinders but still work very well as an allround flat water and touring board.. They didn't make many.. They have the new full deck pad and the new deeper ledge handle.. and as long as you're not a big guy who would normally find the 27" width a little tippy it will be an awesome board..

Wow ok.
It is exactly as you describe it DJ.
And the purpose of buying it was mainly downwinding, so I guess it is actually a perfect board fit me
