At 95kg and 6' and a fair bit of chop on the water this was a challenge for someone like me. But it was soooo much fun. Surfed it off Carties in 3 to 4 foot with PT at about 2pm.

Ok... at my weight it paddles like a bathtub with the plug out but once on a wave it is a great fun little board. Turns so fast.

If you get a chance to try it out I fully suggest you do it.

It comes out in September if you are talking about the 9' Hokua.

I have heard it doesn't have as much rocker as the 9'3". So I would think it would be about the same stability.

I am looking forward to riding one.

The 9' Mana comes out in November.

Are you thinking of buying one to take back. I know the local shops are planning on getting them in but I am not sure of the date.

Check out the link below. Jodie and Woogie from the Noosa Beach Boys SUP Club are having an expressions demo day on the 4th at Noosa. I went to the one last year and would have to say it was the friendliest and best organised day I have been to. I see they are having Naish at it.

I am planning on getting one as a step down from the 9'6". Still love the 9'6" though.

The Sunshine Coast SUP Club will be having the September meet on the 12th at Maroochydore river mouth. If mine is in you can give it a go.

No. It is a thruster. Great on the waves and a lot of fun. Put your weight on your back foot and it snaps around. Step forward and you can nearly spin it.

At my weight it only had a small sweat spot for paddling. Too far back and it stood on its tail, too far forward and it just sank. I think 5kg lighter and it would be ideal.

Another incentive to shead some weight

Great little board. Still not sure what its really good for! I loved it in the 1ft mush that I tried it in. It changed direction on a dime!
I can feel some tight round houses in the pocket coming on with this one. I think I need another go on a cleaner day. It has still got me puzzeld at this stage and catches my eye every time I see it on the rack.

Im thinking? that mushy small day's is where this board is going to excel. Keep it tight in the pocket and make the most out of the juice.

Its fun working this stuff out!
