I would appreciate any opinions/feedback on the Fanatic Fly
I am looking at a 10.6 x 31 (180l). I’m looking for an all-round board, specifically with windsurf option (for teaching kids). I guess 70% flat water 30% waves.
Thanks

Sounds good to me.. I've not seen or paddled one but the dimensions seem good.

Try and demo first if you can.. Another good option is the 12' Naish Glide.

Here's a short vid that I did windsurfing mine.

They are a good board. Well made, cheap, stable and surf well too. Also pretty good flat water glide for covering a few miles. I would like one as an all round board for the family and those cruisy days in the surf The 10' x 30" is also a great board but with a little less volume if you are a light weight or want more performance.

i dont think you would go rong with one they sail very well and would say the construction is better than some of the starboards ive had and its still surprisingly nimble in the waves.

Just spent the day at Currumbin Alley on my brand new 10' Fly wood. Great conditions, 2-3' swell and minimal wind. Easy to ride, lighter and more nimble than my starboard, lots of fun. I weigh 80kg and use my SUP for small waves and flat water excersise. The Fly is a good quality product - you can't go wrong.

I surfed it last week with Adam from fanatic in 2-3 foot beachies and was very impressed with how it surfed for the size. Plenty of stability and was easy to paddle. More than happy to recommend it to anyone wanting an all round board. thanks to adam for giving me the opportunity to try their different boards. very impressed.

I have this board, it is fantastic, have had it about a year, good for flat water as well as waves, wouldnt go in anything over 3 foot as it is a bit big. Surfs really well. I am 95kgs, use it mainly in the surf. It is also a really good windsurfing alternative, used it at Goolwa lake last weekend to cruise around with a 6.7 in light winds, had it planing for a few bursts, real easy to tack. Maybe a bit fragile to have rigs dropping on the top rails if you are teaching or learing WS, I have had a few repairs from compressions and paddle nicks,

A great allrounder though!

I want the wavey 9.6 one now!

the 9'6 would be a great step down from the 10'6 and its still super stable

I'm really keen to try some of the Nasih Glides.
Need to find someone on the GC with one.
