Hey guys,
I'm lucky enough to be heading to Hawaii next July and after weighing up the cost of hiring a 17ft Bullet and buying one I've decided to buy a 2nd hand one over there. (I'm going for 5 wks)
I have some options between production models(foam core cobra factory) or Maui built(hollow ultra light carbon lay ups) V1's and V2's.
I know the basic differences between the V1 and V2 but I'd like to hear some experienced opinions.
My question is which one would be the best buy for me, bearing in mind I've not paddled a 17' before and would like the experience to be as pleasant as possible.

Go the V1. And I would get a custom if you are going to get it over there.
