Been riding the 900 with the short fuse and 400 stab for a few months now. Prone board (4'7 and a 4'3), I'm 6'2" 170lbs. Really liking it but want to make it looser and better at turning. For those that have played around with the new stuff, what will give me the most bang for my buck?

ultra short fuse - $330
370 rear wing - $185
340 rear wing - $181

I live in Hawaii, so the waves usually have plenty of juice.

haha I'm getting a lil tired of throwing money into the sport. I realize the best option is the ultra short and a smaller stab, but I kind of only want to get 1 of the above for now. Which would you choose?

I'd get the ultra-short & look into chopping your 400

The ultra short fuselage is like going from a town car to an formula one car. A shrinking your rear wing will loosen stuff up as well.
Go the fuselage first.

100% the ultra short fuse first lol at a new tail but cutting down the 400 definitely an option . Your question is a really common one " I love the 900 but want to loosen it up" It's time for a Axis dedicated high performance surf wing . There is a proto tweaked 85 floating around . The new 66 is pretty cool for towing / kiting and smaller prone guys but just too small guys my size . Adrian is always onto the R&D so interesting to see what's next but definite gap in the range right now.

Go the 340. It's a game changer. If that's not loos enough add the ultra short.

Agree, I have ultrashort fus and 370 and I can feel it is better for sure, I think I'm gonna chop my 400 to see how it goes.

The 660 front wing would be a good option especially for good waves, as it is really good for turning tighter and harder but you will have to sacrifice the pumping (still you can pump back out but not as easy as the 900).

I think we will see some new wings coming up, so the best and cheapest is to get the new ultrashort fus and chop your 400.

Disclaimer I cannot pump to save my life. However I do not see that as surf foiling. He just pumped around and went straight on the swell. Which is what HA foils do really well. So it was a pump video.

I agree, in this video I pump more than I surf the wave, but the wave was super tricky to surf, super shallow and lots of moving water, so the best option was to catch a small wave inside and pump back out to bigger non breaking wave and do a carving turn outside. The feeling of carving onto an up coming wave is really nice, trying to not pump at all on this part on be as sharp as possible (work in progress). Just another way to ride, on the wave and between.

This is the good thing with video, you can see what is wrong and I do reaslize I need to surf more the face of the wave and this is the hard part.

I don't mind cutting a back wing as it is not too expensive but a front wing is too expensive to try.

Anyone have feedback on the 750 for prone? I primarily ride the 900 but do have a 750 available for cheap price.

I'm about 78 kg and the 750 sits in no mans land for me, too small for good pumping and 68 turns way better

Forget about the 750!! Cut down the 900 and let us know how it goes, I reckon you will be pumping and turning like a cat on a hot tin roof!!

Is the chopped 500 that much better than the 440 or the 400? And how wide did you make it?

Do you prefer the ultrashort also for Sup and Wingding?

I did cut a smaller one but didn't like it. Although that was a while ago and I have been trying to pump like keahi with feet closer and slower so I should try it again

I preordered the (new) ultrashort fuse, a 76 carbon mast, the S1010 and the 460 rear a long time ago....

Moses gear works for me.

I'm on the 680/400 short fuselage, 75cm mast for kite foiling.

I wish to get into winging and maybe SUP foiling, I've read good things about the ha 1000 wing got winging, but is it enough surface for SUP ? Or do people run a separate wing for SUP (like 920) and winging ?

The 1000 is my go to for winging and SUP foiling.
I do use the 1020 occasionally when the wind is very light or the 900 if it's really windy, or for bigger surf on the SUP.

Or a 900/101.

The 102 is fairly slow and draggy but will get you going earlier.
I tried the 101 once it will definitely get foiling easier than the 1000 but is still fairly fast and slippery compared to the 102.
I have not been able to get my hands on one though.
It's always a tough choice and a compromise if you want to SUP in waves and wing, but for me at 85kg if I could only have one it would probably be the 1000.
I'm sure others would have different ideas though.
