funny enough i have been using Antman's 40L FG wing board for proning. It's only 18 inch wide and i've been loving it. Stuff all rocker, and even at 4'4 it gets onto waves so easily. I'm gonna try and get the 4'6 48L wing board eventually for both then have a mid length / even the smaller DW board for light to medium winds.
To the above id still want to spread prone and wing over two boards. Otherwise you won't be able to help compromising on both disciplines. Still got mates who run multiple boards for specificity and that's the other end of the spectrum i can't justify.
Would it be possible to learn prone foiling on a Armstrong 58L FG wing board for a 80kg 68yo winger/supfoiler that never proned ?
Or better start without a foil on a longboard?
Or start on a Armstrong 116L 7'9 x 20 1/4" downwind board?
My 90L 5'2 wingboard pumps so much better than my 6'6x 29' 120 liter sup foil...
