Whats the purpose of it, is it like the street board the shortboarders use to practice skills on or is it like a whole other sport?

Read all of the posts. Sometimes you just need to
be more informed about the things that you hate.
Didn't read anything about skate parks though. Kind of seems like downwinding sup. surely a big long slope at the skatepArk would be good for it, but the boards might not be right for it.
