Yesterday we had another session behind the boat followed by a surf session. This is collective about 2 hours solid behind the boat, and about 7 or 8 sessions SUP Foiling in the ocean. Finally feel like I'm a little bit in control. The feeling is amazing, totally stoked and heading back out now. YEW! enjoy.

(Sorry for all the slow-mo, was so stoked still when I was editing, but it may be a bit to watch).

Thanks Pete. And yes, whilst I am still having the odd blown out, I am keeping the brain bucket on. It would only take one bad wipeout.

Too much fun!

cool to see the rope go slack and you shift into "free ride" mode... the entire dynamic changed

Actually, that was the advice I heard against spending time behind a boat: the balance is quite different for SUP/surf foiling - unless you let go of the rope -, and may be confusing your body if you alternate between the two, if you can have access to frequent small wave sessions to learn the foil. He recommended boat sessions however if you do not have waves often, better boating than nothing!

It's the first thing Dave talks about - Get behind a boat, learn the foil before getting in the waves. 100% agree
