Just got back. Bought gear along to do tow foil. Seen it in Sanur in July and looked great. January, wet season was a different story. Bali Sanur, swell was too small. Lombok kuta, the rain washed all the crap out into the bay and was too much stuff floating around to foil and drive the boat. Water sports there during rainy season seem hit and miss as there is alot of rubbish floating around and water visibility is low. Also don't do Lombok if you can't ride a scooter, it's very spread out. Surf break is 15min ride from the town of Kuta.
