Trench boards appear to be only for prone. Any SUP trench boards out there?

DC can make one but on a 5-2 the trench is 940mm long (can change battery in place) so on a Sup say 7-0 the trench will be super long around 1500mm.

I was wondering why no one has gone that way with SUP foildrive. Has everyone gone to prone foildrive? I see more prone foildrives here than I do SUP.

Does the length of the trench effect it that much? Surf sup about 6 4?

It may be that more generally, here I do not see any SUP foilers anymore.
The market size for trench SUP foil boards may be too small for production.

Agree with Colas even the hardcore Sup foilers are now prone foiling after switching to the FD. Sup foilers in the surf is a rare sight these days . Sup foil DW has exploded though. This is Dales Multi foil board 6-7 still works well as a Sup , Ding & prone he could easily add a trench to this .

hey Hilly, Dale is also doing really cool resin tints so I wouldn't hold back ordering a custom Sup foil trench board if you need one. Very happy with my custom. Finish is great and the strength and weight is good.

Duotone assist won't require a trench it seems.

Tossing up flitelab, FoilDrive or similar for a stealth option compared to tow boogie. Sup or prone?? My neck is fecked so paddle assist needed.

No it won't, but what do you do with the cable if yo want to use your regular board and not one of their swallow tails. Probably have to tape it to the side of the board as I doubt the cable will be long enough to run up over the tail.

Good topic to start hilly, I have been thinking the exact same thing, I still enjoy the stealthy sup style riding with a slow paddle out and would really like to get the volume less under feet. I am not interested in the e foil style of riding that the bigger systems are allowing for.

Still open to options. Waiting for flitelab stock

Whacked a carbon tube in my 8'2 sup board. Small very lightweight motor and backpack battery. Gets up super easy with the long board.

What happens when you fall off the board, does the battery unplug?

No there is a regular leash going from board to back pack plastic plate. Leash is just long enough to protect the cable. I have had the cable unplug while I was sorting out leash length, it's all fine, just plug it back together on the water. Connectors have good coating of dielectric grease. I run the leash and the cable inside tubular webbing now to tidy it up and give some protection. I've got both 12S2P batteries and 12S3P so 24 cells and 36 cells. FD Max is 11S3P so 33 cells. I'm running slightly higher voltage than FD

I may be old school (maybe just old) but I'll still be paddling my sup foil up North again this winter hoping the Lithium lads leave a couple of waves for me.
Most are pretty sharing, so thanks.

I am not at the moment. Last one I had was the Gen 2 with max battery. If I did get one I think I would get the lightest one possible that has a decent run time with no efoiling. Still spoiled by using a super light board with jetski or boogie. But as I said before a stealth option is needed for busy days. Still looking at options.
