Looks like fun and challenging Nice video job too.
Gotta ask but. Where's the paddle. This is a sup forum isn't it???
Dave when we first went out it was a sh!t and this was a test for the foils. The Bombie break is a sandbar and never breaks in the same place twice. You couldn't paddle in , it was way to choppy and shifty with the flood out tide , that's what makes the swell stand up rushing out of the Seaway. We were testing the foils to see if they can carry the weight of the Sup & rider on the speed of bigger waves without blowing out. That will be the last tow video you see , it will all be paddle in from now on. We won't put on straps they are too dangerous in the bigger stuff.
Lace we now have 4 boards set up with different foils and doing some paddle in test Friday arvo , if all goes well we are back to the Bombie on Sunday for the westerly for a paddle in session on the in coming tide to let us paddle onto a wave , hopefully we will get the swell to match. All those other videos you have watched are soft little reef break rollers. We plan to take on the Bombie when it's triple overhead , our foil set ups are very different to the Go Foil they are built to handle the speed but it makes them very twitchy and hard to ride....
