Just wanting to know of anyone that's done a bit of Sup Foiling and what your thoughts are.
Im interested in getting one to add to my quiver of water toys but it looks like their quite pricey?

It has already been discussed quite extensively here, read by yourself:

www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Stand-Up-Paddle/SUP/Sup-Foil-2
www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Stand-Up-Paddle/SUP/SUP-foiling--my-first-steps-
www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Stand-Up-Paddle/SUP/Foilboarding-is-here-to-stay-
... etc...

However, I agree that something seems broken in the seabreeze search, which have a hard time finding these kind of things. The best way is just to look at the main topic listings such as:
www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Stand-Up-Paddle/SUP
www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Stand-Up-Paddle/Review
and search "foil" in them via your browser (Ctrl-F) instead of the forum search function

Foiling is a lot of fun, very different to normal surfing and suiting different waves I think. Getting up behind a boat shortens the learning process and helps remove the fear of falling. However after some 10 or so hours I'm only now getting consistent straight line shorter rides - waves have been very poor and weak here for a while. I adapted a Speed 8'5" for the Naish foil, but am only finding the right location and angle for the foil ( made a shim between the foil and board) to help get it right. I've ordered a specific foil board ( Blue Planet 6'11" and 130l) that I hope will be just right. Getting your feet in the right place and especially on the board's centreline is crucial.
Its not cheap or easy to do - for me at least being 57 and an intermediate surfer. However to fly above the water is amazing and it's a challenge so I'm persevering with it.
Lots of good advice on all these forums - good luck.

That was the reason for me also to learn to foil. I am 56, and you do not want to wait to try new things... The clock is tickin'...
