Hi Juandesooka.
I have the old H4 set up but havent really checked the mast & wing connections. But I believe the issue you are talking about isnt really the elongated hole of the wing that the mast fits through but would be the main hole of the wing that the fuselarge fits into may be too big making a sloppy fit. That is, I would put the fuselarge into the hole of the wing & without bolts connected is it a sloppy fit, can the wing be wobbled? Compare it with your other wings.
If so then maybe an internal shim or whatever may have to be put inside the hole of the wing or maybe Slingshot's newer fuselarges could be slightly thicker?
If not . Then it probably & most likely is your old mast threaded holes.
If the bolts are tight then they may be too long & hitting the bottom of the mast threaded holes or the bottom of the holes could be blocked or burred or have corrosion NOT enabling the bolts to tighten down far enough to clamp the new wing down tight. Don't forget. The old & new wings may be different thicknesses at the holes.
In this case your options would be to get slightly shorter main bolts or re tap the threads further into the mast if possible. You may have to drill the holes a little further. reason for this is that the bolts & mast have been used on the old wings so the bolts have only tightened down a set distance leaving the ends of the threaded holes to maybe corrode or burr over time.
So this may be the reason that the bolts came loose in the first place as it is the under side head of the bolts that have to clamp down & bite into the wing. That's why spring washers were invented to bite between the mating surfaces in high vibration parts to stop bolts loosening.
Your bolt heads may have only touched the wing as they couldn't be screwed down far enough to bite in.
Hope you know what I mean.
