105kg, I have surfed most of my life and am an advanced kite and wing foiler and now looking at getting into SUP foiling.
I have a 2022 Fanatic 5'4 95L for winging but this will be too small.
What size board and volume and brand do you recommend in Australia?
I imagine more length and volume are required for stability and to catch the small waves?
About same weight. Sup is mainly paddle technique. Learn to paddle a sup first fast and straight, lots of technique videos out there. Quickblades are the best. Board speed is needed to get you up on a wave or downwinding.
Sup foil is problematic because you want the smallest board you can stand on, but they are hard to paddle fast and straight. Lots of cheap longer sups on breeze that would be a good start point. Light is good.
I started sup foiling, after years of sup paddling, on a 7 6 Slingshot Outwit (140l). Great board light and strong then I moved down to 6 6 Smik which I still have. I have paddled a 5 11 board but it was hard to catch waves, felt great when up and flying.
Demo if you can.
