Well, this should be fun to watch play out on the forums! Serious powerhouse of designers at the table. Hope Kane didn't have to compromise his designs to make something for everyone and that can be mass produced. I'm particulary exited by the promise of a non ventilating mast and the forgiving breaching of the wings. The fuse is short, the mast connection looks like a Tuttle box, and the tail can be trimmed without shims. Very promising!


There were some poo-poo'ers in the winging forum about the KT Ginxu design concept. Not sure if this is a KT, with Reedin camoufloge, or a proto, but cool to see...

At 630 Damien points out that the screws are only taking compression load which is what the screws are designed for. (mast/fuse) I disagree, In my foiling experience, the back screw will be under a tension load when in use. Time will tell

They look really good , would love to have a crack on the 780 & 980 . Interesting the rear wing is top mount.

Kane mentioned high Aspect Ratio design , doesn't seem that high at all in comparison to what's out there already .

780 is 670 wide x 5.75 AR

980 is 800 wide x 6.50 AR

1280 is 850 wide x 5.60 AR

1480 is 950 wide x 6.00 AR

1880 is 1050 wide x 5.90 AR

Seems like Erik likes the higher aspect stuff which makes sense because they need to pump around large distances to find sections to hit in Florida. While it seems pumping is necessary on Maui, it's not as important as you can just surf the wave you catch.

Anyone heard anything? Hoping for a demo soon

I agree with this statement. Pumping is more essential for softer waves. The small mid aspect world is dooable in the soft stuff, it just takes tremendous commitment and momentum moving from the high aspect. When you are at infinite pump on the high aspect you'll be ready to get doubles and occasional tripples on the mid.
