So are people calling the XL NP for wing dinging? Or large size still okay for the task (80kg, 128l 6'10 sup...initially). After getting finance committee approval for wing ding, I think I'd struggle to get approval for another foil wing....
Side note: a source told me NP was ceasing its foil operation/production..... unknown legitimacy of this intel....
I've got the XL but only use the large now on the wingding , the XL helped in my first couple of sessions but was pretty slow compared to the large . Now I have my technique together I get up just as easy on the large plus it's just a better all round wing for wingdinging.
This is what I'm reading everywhere it seems. The XL's great for learning at extremely low speeds. But then it seems to get old as they are slower everywhere and everyone moves on to smaller wings with higher top speeds and better turning in short order. (not talking NP specifically, XL's in general)
True or False? I have the NP Lg new in my garage and no plans (at this time) for an XL.
Also seeing the same in boards. Recommendations for huge (comparatively) volume boards to learn on, but then as soon as you are "ok" everyone wants smaller smaller, smaller. ????
I am lake every weekend june/sept and have an elevated reservoir 20 minutes from my house to use once or twice a week. I WILL have plenty of hours of learnign time. And a jetski to learn on at the lake first before trying to wingding.
Any reason to not get a 130L much smaller board (8-9') that I really want? (knowing it will be a steeper learning curve)
