On another note, the resemblance is pretty close to the Blue Planets foil boards....
I am sure that they have been developed on another Island but sure looks like team Naish had their eyes on the Easy foiler boards?

Like the look of the new Naish boards. Some good sizes and volumes and looked like a good price if my conversion from NZ dollars is correct.

I bought the new Hover 125 a month ago and are so happy with it. I previously had the Hover 120 crossover which was 7'6" and 30' and far prefer this foil specific board which is 6'5" and 31". I really like the design and shape which seems to be a combination of the Blue Planet and the Kallama boards. I'm 6'3' and 85kg and it is not corky and sits well in the water. I measured it at 8.3kg on the bathroom scales. It is more stable than the Hover 120 which is great especially on those windy choppy days (and we have had a lot in Victoria this winter) or from the backwash from one of the points. I don't notice much difference paddling onto waves or for those 300m plus paddles back to the line up.

I have the 70cm mast far forward which allows me the option to have my feet in position before paddling onto waves whereas the Hover 120 I was having to move both my feet back 30cm after takeoff which was fine in mellow waves but not in bigger steeper waves - never had a chance to check them. I'm using the Naish XL Thrust foil in all conditions but have a L wing which I plan to hopefully try next week. I would recommend having rail tape on the front of the board as I noticed I was putting a few chips into it while paddling onto waves.

I started foiling about 4 months ago and have tried a few friends boards but think this one is perfect for me and couldn't be happier with it! The guys at Naish and The Zu have been great with advice and service. There is a small great crew of foilers ( prone and SUP) in Torquay/ Anglesea most of whom were inspired by Dean Snow including myself who took the below photo. Thanks Dean!

Yes, on a SUP foil this is the main criterion on how to place the mast: finding the place where you do not have to move your feet on takeoff. It is incredibly safer, especially in the learning phases.

I have just ordered a 110 Hover. Cheers for the review Southby. Good to get some feedback on them.
