Nice . it's a good dimensions - same as the Armie DWP board I use.

8-2 x 16.5 x 100 litre , 8-4 x 16.75 x 110 litre , 8-6 x 17 x 120'litre , 8-8 x 17.5 x 130 litre . Pretty sure they are right or close to it . Yeah for sure and narrower than my 18-1/2 prone board .

Yes Guys 8-2 in that video is just over 5kg so pretty light and your arm wraps around it easily making it great to carry.

Is the board you referenced in the video at 5kg a production board?

Yes and they are due into SurFx late January and would be the same for other retailers so for that to happen the boards are already made ready for shipping . These were at Hood River in September in final production samples . I was so impressed watching Guy paddle it up I ordered one and I don't even Sup DW anymore . What makes the board so different is its banana or hammock design that gives it , its stability for something so narrow , very different looking board in real life . The 360 camera tends to change board shapes .

5ish kg pretty impressive for a production board

5kg for a production board with no handle for about 110-120L sounds about right these days(handle done right can add 300-500g so I am a big fan of not having one), maybe mid 4kg for custom in the same size so gap is getting closer. Also difference between 5kg and 5.9kg still in the 5kg range but big difference so always good to get an actual scale on weight. The boards look good though and good to see at least the weights aren't in the high 6's or 7kg that many others think are ok.

Hey Paul - we're seeing production hollow wing boards now at 3.8kg. Do you expect to see this eventually make its way into these DW shapes, or hollow boards just won't be beneficial enough at these lengths.

Yeah i'm not sure on the hollow for foiling, I don't know if it would cause more hassles as the impacts that happen when foiling are pretty high and hard and I could see the internal structure having some issues long term. I know we looked pretty hard at doing some hollow DW boards a few years back but never really could work out the benefits for doing so over the costs plus shapes were changing alot so amking the molds is never really worth it until things settle down.

5.97Kg for 120L is a sturdy board. Right in there with my 127L 8' custom at 6.2Kg which I don't find to be very light at all. I'd bet a kilo lighter makes a huge dif on paddle up. I walk with it quite a bit and it's had contact with a lot of concrete, sign posts, and even a rogue child pouncing on it with both knees. Barely a scuff.

Anyway, that shape looks very nice

piros any feedback on the stability and ability to lay down power on the 16.5' 8-2

Just watching Guy the stability looked amazing , I'll get him to reply because he had a shocker Parawing session and had massive paddling in which wasn't fun
