I had just called kite/windsurf addiction (Perth) today and they are saying they should in end of October/start of November

Has anyone tried these new NP HP wings that can provide a review?
Any idea when they will become available?
Loving the NP XL, can't wait to try these!

The new wings are amazing and live up to all the Hype plus they have now added a XXL and new large rear . Overall you get more speed pump and glide from the new wings , even the new Medium HP is faster than the existing Medium Slim but the original Slim is more suited to Sup more control & stability. The small is a killer prone wing and matches up to any of the high performance prone wings out there . The Large & XL now take you to high performance Sup riding and wing dinging . The new XL just leaves the existing XL for dead , massive difference. Haven't tested the XXL but here is a pic of it and new tail .Re delivery time ...... well they should have already been delivered, so I have no idea when sorry .

Any footage of the new HPs in action? Haven't seen any in the line-up yet.

This is my mate Marty stats on the new small NP HP with a cut down tail . It's fast very fast and pumps like a mofo .

Assuming we are all still waiting on info re: arrival dates? Have the medium slim and really like it but wondering if the new HP medium my be the way to go to get my 90kg frame pumping back out a little easier? Either that or just work on my technique...

Keen to hear more about this as well. My local dealer still says arrival of new 2021 wings will be "soon".

Perhaps the new large would be better suited for return pumping? Especially at 90kg. I don't pretend to be an expert, I ride the old medium and can occasionally link waves (with a good tail wind haha!). Yet to decide if I want the HP large or medium. Love to demo the new line but I think that will be unlikely.

Got my HP today, bought the whole Glide Surf with a Large Wing (HP15) .... they can't spell length ... the agent here said the HL series (High Lift, which is probably very close to the old Glide series, not sure) seems to be canned (for now at least), Piros wil probably know more (it's the blue trimmed one below. This completes my set of S/M/L/XL (with various masts for Surf or Windfoiling), but with only the Large in HP, I will probably get hungry for the HP in Medium now. Small works fine for the wife weighs way less than I do... need more ToW, less buying stuff and dreaming ...


"Since NEILPRYDE 2021 foil still not yet launched to public ... for 2021 NEILPRYDE Glide Wind / Surf alu foil kits, they are in sizes:

HP11 - front wing 1130 / rear wing TBC
HP13 - front wing 1300 / rear wing 220
HP15 - front wing 1490 / rear wing 240
HP19 - front wing 1850 / rear wing 250

Both Glide Wind and Glide Surf share the same front and rear wing, the difference on the mast and fuselage is that Glide Wind has an 80cm mast with 84cm fuselage and Glide Surf a 70cm mast with 74cm fuselage. And those Glide Wind and Glide Surf alu do not include the head adapter, to be sold separately. There are 3 options of the head: tuttle box, power box and surf plate.

There is also the Glide Surf Carbon version expected to available in early Dec. Front wing and rear wing same, the mast is carbon made with surf plate head in 75cm length. Fuselage still in alu 74cm."

Hi all, my local dealer gave me a late December (read January) in Qld timeline for new NP shipment. Not sure if anybody knows anything different to that so not a 1000 years away (fingers crossed)...

Any of the mere mortals on here got there hands on an HP yet?

I see NP updated their website and are advertising a 6th front wing (1670sqcm). They also have a short video up, looks good but it's nothing impressive. Perhaps I've been watching too many foil legends on insta.

Hey Breezers - just picked up a Med Slim for some prone foiling. Modified a G10 stab I had sitting around to fit my NP fuse. How do think it will go?

Also - check my travel case I've been working on. Hardshell golf case. Fits 3 wings L, XL, Med Slim, 3 stabs, fuse, tools, hardware, 2 masts 60 & 82.

Piros- do you think that the g10 stab will pair well with the Med Slim? Way thinner profile than the stock NP stabs, hopefully less drag more glide?

Yes it does but the cord on yours looks a bit wide I'd narrow it up a bit , plus now we have on my custom rears is a slight downturn or V only a couple of degrees . Your best bet is to get a custom rear off Kane de Wilde , he does them for all brands now plus he is the guy that designed the new HP wings , so knows his stuff.

The carbon complete is no longer on the website - anyone know why?

Are the new HP wings as good and progressive as the offerings from Armstrong & Axis?

Is there any way to modify or adapt Axis wings to the NP fuselage?

Hi FoilColarado. You can mod a NP Glide fuse to take Axis wings. You need to shorten the NP fuse to give the correct wing to mast dims so you will need a spare fuse if you still want to run NP wings. It works very well. Pm me if you want more details?

I was also thinking of adapting my NP fuse to an Axis mast. Since having a hard time of finding an 80cm NP mast.
Lucky I'm now waiting for a second hand NP 80cm mast to arrive.
But still wondering if anyone has done it. I would think either welding & drill & tap NP fuselarge. Or drill & tap holes elsewhere on NP fuselarge.
Changing to an Axis fuse to replace a NP fuse seemed to be the cheaper option.

Nice work!

I would have done something to reduce the tip vortex though. Basically you want the water flow at the tip not to be "tempted" to spill round the edge, following the path of least resistance, and thus triggering a big vortex.

There are two common ways to reduce this "spillage"

- Erect a fence: plates at the tips, winglets, wingtips, sharklets...

- At each point of the tip, make going over the edge to the other side a longer path that just going along the foil by increasing the wingspan just in front of the flow: this ends up in a streamlined elliptical tip, both in outline and thickness: the famous Spitfire wing design.

The dealer here mentioned there have been some breakages in Europe testing the Carbon Masts, but this was when I asked about the carbon masts for the new Flight FR, so I am not sure if it applies to the Glide series or they are just struggling with production. I know there was a wee bit of a lag with a lot of other NP Foiling/Windsurfing related gear (as I waited a while for sails and masts).

Yes, the HP wings will work on the blue fuselages, but you may need shorter screws. I believe the only difference between the old and new fuselage is the new one has some of the sharp edges rounded off, and it's red.
