Has anyone got any feed back on the 2450 jet foil??

I'm wanting a flat water cruisy foil to use with a Naish or Duotone 6m in light conditions.

Also in small waves,just for fun,on a standup, nothing serious.

Any feedback appreciated thanks

I'm using the big Naish Jet 2450 foil and the big 6m WingSurfer wing in this vid.

It's awesome.. Very stable and very early lift.

Great light wind foil..

Been using the 2450 Jet foil for about 6 months and whilst it's a good foil it's very slow. In hindsight a 2000 Jet would have been more then enough lift in low wind/small wave conditions and the added speed (more fun!) helps carrying in the lulls and build more apparent wind speed. For reference I'm 90 kgs.

Spartacus,yeah had tossed up about the 2000, but us fuller figured people need a bit more lift to cruise ??????

thats what I want, I have a 1575, but need a heap of wind and bigger waves to get it to lift.

Or,maybe better technique. But to lazy to change

I'm using the jet 2000 and I'm 112kgs and it's great it goes as low as 6 to 7 kts and I've had it up to 17 kts on a 6.0 s25 naish wing I can fly it in 12 kts off breeze

But now you have me thinking ,do I really need to go that big???

Maybe a v2 6 meter wing,first then decide on the foil.

I thought about a 2450 ,because the surf here,is getting crazy crowded and just wanted to surf crappy waves no one else wanted.

Everyone on jobkeeper,ripping of the system,some are genuine.Im self funded retiree.

Different brand but I just got an 1850 and will now sell my 2400. Was good to learn with but the 1850 gives me enough lift for tiny waves and light wind for my 105kg.

I am just wondering if anyone compared the 2450 with the 2000? I am on the 2450 but its slow like others mention.

I've had both. The 2450 has plenty of lift, not much glide (draggy)
The 2000 is a much better wing, probably not far behind in lift, heaps more glide especially if you're chasing a few small waves. On a wave the 2450 would want to fly out of the water with the extra speed from the wave. Needed heaps of front foot pressure to keep lift under control .
1650 is better again for waves. 1800 ha has a lot of glide , good for flat water. probably turns as well as the 2000 but has very controlled lift, handles a bit of extra speed

Great comparison,now I'm going to have to reconsider my options.

Did you use these foils with a wing ?..or mainly for surf

I pretty much wing only 4,5,6 m
I am 95 kg probably just an advancing learner.
After I bought the 2000 I never used the 2450.
Then I bought a 1650 and now hardly use the 2000.
The 2000 is plenty big enough and soon you'll go smaller

Sounds like you talked me into the 2000.

98kgs, looking for a cruzey foil,nothing to technical.

Summer is coming,crap waves and howling Nor'easters.learnt on a duotone V1 5mtr,looking for something newer and bigger.

maybe naish or duotone 6m

I've got windows in wing, wouldn't get them again. No crowds where I am, no collision issues.
it's good to just bunch it up and tuck under arm and head up the beach at end of session , not worrying about damaging vinyl.
Not sure I ever look through them anyway
