I ended up sealing my Konrad mast. Worked a treat. My NP mast (newish), I have not as yet. That drainage hole in it obviously works well to let water out...but also lets it in.

Who is sealing their NP mast? And if you did, did you just do the drainage hole - or did you do all the cavity points?

With the lock down, I now have time to contemplate life's big questions.....

I spray foamed mine. It made my base plate to mast connection permanent. A buddy coated his base plate with something to keep the spray foam from sticking to his.

Thanks DWF. On the foil mast I did seal, I put some small foam bits in the cavities for the silicone to push up/seal against. Didn't consider the expanding foam option.

I can only assume it's too hard to make the masts sealed during the manufacturing process?

Might be the idea of air drying upon disassymblely.
Some water always seeps in, stays there, and....

I ride AXIS but I sealed my Ali mast with some high density motorbike seat foam I had lying around. Just cut it a bit oversized and stuffed it in each end of the extrusion. It works a treat, it's super light and can be easily removed if need be.

I decided not to seal the NP mast. Unlike my other Konrad foil that I sealed just fine with silicone (which is 'flush' / flat / even at each end), the NP has a massive multi depth cavity at the baseplate end....which put it in the 'too hard basket'.

Carbon....one day....

Exactly what I did, I used oversize eva foam and silicon and it works perfectly, so much better and nocicably lighter
