Anyone got some feedback on the Moses foils?

I've been SUP foiling for around 18 months. I've become a Moses fan but the credit card bills are painful.
Having started with a Slingshot surf foil ( gamma) which was too small for SUP foiling, I now I use a Moses set-up. I use the same 71 mast ,fuselage and stab for kitefoiling and SUP foiling. I add the 2000+ cm2 Tortuga front wing for SUP foiling. It gets up and going super early and feels like a Ferrari ( whatever that feels like) . It is exactly the same shape as the Ride engine/Slingshot infinity 84 ( since they were shaped by the same people) , although the Tortuga wing is much lighter.
Moses build quality is superb. They bolt together with fairly small fiddly bolts - which is a little disconcerting at first , but I've been using them for over a year and with careful loosening and tightening there have been no probs whatsoever.
The masts aren't that light considering they're carbon - there's a lot of resin in there as well, but they're very stiff in the sub 90 sizes. Interesting to see that Moses are now making a budget alu mast.
You hear a lot about how the weight of the foil set up doesn't matter that much , but I feel much less like I'm dragging a bucket to get going on the wave with the much lighter Moses set up, and it feels very reactive, yet stable when up on the foil. This set up is so light and buoyant that it floats the board on one rail - you have to physically force the foil back under the water to get back on the board after a crash.

They have a new wing arriving in January, nice looking shape and size (albeit a bit pointy like a lot of their stuff). Some discussion going on over here;

Always assumed they were more kite oriented, maybe just what I see in the Gorge. Since I'm half Italian, I like their stuff (build quality) but am skeptical of their fuse to front wing attachment for long spanny wings. No personal experience, just looks only suitable for wings less than 70cm or so compared to other systems out there.

How's the flex with the Tortuga Ouzel? That's a good sized wing.

So I have been trying out the foils for the last week.

Initial impressions in the shop was not great. It's super high gloss which is cool but the shape seemed very outdated given everyone is loving high AR wings . These seem very conventional and a bit bland. The whole setup is crazy light but I thought it seemed a bit flexy through the mini tuttle join on the fuse.

All these impressions vanished when I got it on the water. I have the tried the 873 with a wing and surfed the 790. I have never been as fast on a foil ever. Clocked sustained 17.4kts upwind yesterday in 18kts. There is zero noticeable flex when you ride them, there is what I could describe as compliance or whip with the carbon mast, but this only adds to the feel I found. Overall I am very very impressed with this setup.

It is a very fine wing and as such it is very easy to stall the wing when pumping on the wing to get up on the foil, much more so than a big fat old school wing like the gong I have (not the pro). Over a few sessions I have learnt to deal with this by modifying my style and with the wing I can now get up and flying in about 15kts. Before you flame me this is on a massive traditional 6'4'' surf sup with rocker and super soft rails!

The Tail it comes with is massive. The 48s is nice but it would feel a heap better if it was smaller. Good news is all the kite tails will fit, so there are some very small fast tails if needed. Like the tail the fuse is pretty long, but I think there would be an easy fix of drilling and tapping another hole to shorten it up.

As for the fuse attachment to the main wing. Even with the 873 there is no noticabe flex. the mating surface is precise and everything fits very well.

In a past life I flew models RC helicopters, one of the best brands for quality carbon blades and kits was SAB, turns out SAB make Moses sos that explains the finish and the quality. I have no association with them.

Would I hand over my hard earned $$ for a setup?? I think I would and I may.

Going to demo an Axis setup next and make the decision from there.

So pretty close to ordering a Moses setup with the new 82 mast and the 1100 wing.
Thinking I'll pair it with the 421 kite race stab for some added performance.
For surfing I think I'll go with the new windsurfing wing 1m span and 1100cm, nice high aspect and knowing the Moses stuff will be damn fast.
