Although board (1500) + foil (2500) + FoilDrive (5500) = $9,500.

Bottom line, electric assist is expensive!

Great idea super innovative , they have narrowed the motor up to streamline it but then made it longer to get the power. That puts the prop right at the back of the board on this 4-8 I assume the 4-3 it will actually be sticking out . Fliteboard & FD pics for comparison.

Probably an inrunner motor (sealed) so need the extra length to generate enough torque?

Its funny, we rekindle some of intense debates previously had about mast drag - do we go by thickness of the mast or by the chord. Frontal area versus surface area. I guess the smaller diameter motor is great to reduce the frontal area, but we have so much more wetted surface I can't believe it really helps reduce drag and maybe even has more drag. Always a tradeoff of some kind.

Dangerous too with the motor hanging off the end of the board like that. Ppl gonna get cut.
