The ironic thing is that Luca Padua (at the end of the video) lives in Half Moon Bay, my hometown. He is a rising star.

When he says "In the past couple of years I have seen these guys foiling" he is talking about me and Jeff Clark. No one else has cropped up until maybe the last 6 months. I'll have to follow up with Luca because I am CONSTANTLY foiling alone. Un-ridden 10 to 15 footers lately. No ONE OUT. All because of the foil.

Not sure if I have ever seen a surfer that looks as "free" as the guys in this video. Breathless and breathtaking in the same moment.

Guys like Rafael Tapia, Sebastian Steudtner, Andy Cotton, and girls like Maya Gabeira and Justine Dupont have been commiting to the foil at Nazar?, but mostly at small (but still big) to medium size Nazare as a part of their training for the big days. Hoepfully we'll see more foiling on the big stuff.
