Just wondering if anyone else has experienced any problems with E3 build quality problems. My E3 is literally falling apart, the foil box has come loose and the front of the boad is splitting all where the hull line meets the deck. There are also bubbles under the glass. I love this board and have looked after it with care but am really disappointed with way its falling apart. These things are so expensive but I guess when its made in China its hard to monitor the quality of construction. Any thoughts.

I'm a big bloke like Hilly and I agree with him. Extremely strong build quality and very light for the build quality. I believe they are built in Vietnam, not China, but that's not important here.
We chopped a 7 foot plus E3 down from 32" wide to 25" wide. Sort of a poor man's big guy short period Barracuda. So we got to see the construction of the rails. Kalama builds with some super heavy duty material between the exterior glass and the foam. The shaper who did the chopping said the Kalama was extremely well built and hard to mow through.
I am not an expert in how the boards are built. But I have owned a few E3s. I wing the 125 liter one. No issues. High quality.

The E3's are extremely well built boards, at least the one I have is... I'd ask yourself these questions:
1. Is my vent plug leaking?
2. Did I allow water into the board and not religiously open the vent plug everytime thereafter storing the board in or on a car or in the sun?
3. Do I put the board into a wet bag and bake in the sun or in my car?
4. Are there heel dents that are pushing an inch into the deck?
5. Am I over 210 lbs and have used the board more than 100 times?

Not meant to belittle you here, just pointing out that without pics and backstory etc, it's not really fair to say something is poor build qualtity. I have a lot of foiling equipment that is just ****e quality and have repaired a lot of it such that it's better than new. If your boxes are loose, that's a good bet there's water sucking into the eps core. Take it to a repair shop that knows epoxy sandwich construction for an eval if you're not comfortable with such.

Hey mate, that's a first for one in Australia. All our boards are built in Vietnam not china so let's set that straight. Can you please email me photos and detailed description of the problem. How long you've had it and proof of purchase (Seabreeze names are hard to track). I'm currently in Maui and will be with Dave all week so I'll be able to give direct feedback from the big man. cheers Dylan.

I abuse mine quite a bit, paint chipped in a few spots but otherwise has held up better than my last board.

I have used many boards (probably even 20) from 3 brands manufacturers from that Vietnam factory, (Jimmy Lewis, One & Kalama). All have been very well made and durable. I never had any delam or dry cloth like I have suffered from a couple of other factories that you would think would have know better. That's SUP, surf and Foil. Boards out of that factory are rock solid and probably the best quality over my 40 years in water sports.

Just following up from my original post and I reached out to Dylan as requested and Dave has agreed to help me which I am very grateful for. I bought a Kalama board because of Dave, and I like to support people like him that innovate and share their knowledge for everyone's benefit. I am really looking forward to getting it back on the water because it's such a great board and I couldn't recommend them enough.

Ok this I have to share. I've owned 2 E2's and my wife 1 e2 and never had any problems with build quality or any thing. Currently riding a 5'6" E3 and I'm loving the board! Paddle in SUP no wing. No issues.

My friend has 3 E3's 4'8", 5' and a 5'4" he hasn't used the 5'4" in months so I was going to buy it but when he pulled it out we noticed a 4" crack running from the front of the box towards to the nose of the board. We're on Oahu so he emailed Dave asking for best way to repair and Dave said don't he will warranty the board and send out a new one. Now this is awesome customer service and standing behind your product!
