I just arrived on Maui to catch-up with Jimmy & straight off the plane into a cracking Maliko run & then to jimmy's workshop to check out my 2 new custom foilboards...
It was like all my Xmas' had come at once when i got my hands on these 2 new beauties in gloss Carbon & hand shaped by Jimmy on Maui...
I got a 6'6" x 28" Flying V for my new downwind board but have no doubt it will surf just as well (even though i love my 5'11")... A little longer & a fraction narrower...
My new custom "Super Fly" is 5'2" x 20"... Basically in between the stock 5'4" & 5'0" Super Fly's... I love my 5'4" Super Fly but the 5'0" is a bit short for me....
The finish, weight & attention to detail along with Jimmy's workmanship is second to none...

No worries I'll weight them tomorrow & let you know....The black carbon will be terrible if left in the sun but I knew that so I'll just have to look after them...
The production Foil boards of Jimmy's from the Kinetic factory are stronger with Jimmy's Sandwich construction & not much heavier...I just got these to save bringing my boards to Maui & to tweak my downwind board...

Got to test out my new JL Flying V this morning at small but fun "GuardRail's" on the south side & it went unreal...Stable & paddled great & liftoff was instantaneous even pumping onto the smallest unbroken bump that came through & I only used my GoFoil IWA with Kai tail... Can't wait to get it out for a Maliko downwinder

Got to wet my new custom JL "Super Fly" this morning too in small but fun waves on the south side of Maui & was stoked from the minute I paddled out...I haven't been on my prone foilboard for a few months after fracturing my foot so I was nervous paddling into my first wave but it paddled in easy & for the next 2 hours had a ball without one crash :)
I used my GoFoil IWA with Kai tail & had no problem pumping back out for double-up waves... Hopefully the surf is going to be bigger tomorrow...
Then my first downwinder on my new Flying V :)

Looking really nice. Have you had a chance to try the new GL wings in some decent waves over there? I am interested in how they surf compared to the originals (rather than pump). Thanks,

Epic couple of weeks sup, prone & downwind foiling in the land of everything foilboarding...There's been channel crossings & wind wing races...Need a holiday from my holiday.....
