Considering going with axis now that I just killed a takuma fuse. Not a lot of experience with production gear. Mast seems really far back(loading up the fuse more)

anyone have an issue?

I personally have not seen a broken one. Lots of guys riding AXIS wings over cobblestones out here too. They seem to hold up really well.

Edit: I hit lots of cobblestones with the fuse and wings when I had my red series axis gear. One of the best things about it is the build quality.

There's been a few broken red fuses over the years, all replaced under warranty, but I've never seen a black one break. Probably because the wings are smaller and more efficient therefore less stress on the fuse.

The current release of fuses have just been beefed up all around the mast connection so make sure you get the newer one.

PS: where did the takuma break?

fuse was bending, verified movememnt with a digital angle gauge before and after the session. Ride also was highly comprimised, slow, prone to overfoiling and vent, all charachteristics of bending fuse.

Once a fuse starts to bend its over it starts to get worse rapidly.. Higher attack angle on front wing = bigger angle difference between wings = more lift and center of lift moved forwards = more force and leverage on fuse = more bending = more andle of attack....
