Many of you have used both wings. Do you have to move your mast (or change foot placement) when switching between these wings? Thanks

Different style of wings. Do you have the 2400 v1 or v2? Not that there is much difference. The 2400 is flatter than the 1600 so feels more stable. 1600 is more curved and thicker so can give more lift if that makes sense. use the 232/212 tail and move the 1600 back a touch. It is more reactive and turns better than the 2400. As you get used to it you can move it forward to use the lift and turning ability better.

I've got the 1550 atm but if I needed more lift for winging in light winds would the 2400 or 1600 be best option ?

I find the difference between the 1550 and 1600 not big. Clearly the step up to the 2400 is a significant change. I would probably change shims on your 1550 first to see if you can get to more lift before getting a 1600. If you go from +1 to -2 it will generate more lift. You will however notice more drag.

Thanks for the responses. I have a good understanding of the 2 foils. I began my wing ding journey with the 2400 and mast all the way forward, which works well for me as a beginner. I also have a 1600, which I plan to use as my skills improve. I am preparing to put some straps on my board to use with my 2400 but am concerned that when I go to the 1600, the setup will not be right cause I may want the mast more forward than with the 2400. Hence my question, in going from 2400 to 1600 (or 1550 for that matter), do most people who are using straps find that they move their mast forward a bit? Thanks again.

If you want a low wind option, I would go with the 2400. I have been riding it a bunch and just changing the tail shims between 0 and +1 based on winds. I run the +1 when I'm fully powered and there are waves with the 50 fuse.

I just tied the -2 shim for the first time in really really light wind, like a few puffs barely reaching 12mph. The -2 shim made lift off insanely easy. There were too many slack lulls so I couldn't stay up long, but it gave me a taste for what the next good 10-12mph session will look like.

I ride with straps and normally do not change the position of the mast when changing wings.
