I'm headed to Bali next week (after having to cancel our trip to Sri Lanka) for a holiday and are keen to take the SUP foil but cannot find anything on the internet about best locations, only about a foil lesson and hiring. I've surfed over there many times but cannot remember too many places good for a foil other than maybe Airports, Dreamland and the Nusa Dua/ Sanur side but that is onshore at this time of year. Any recommendations would be great.

I'm here now & there' quite a few crew here foiling & a couple of them are ripping... Berawa near Canngu (between Old Man's & Berawa away from the crowds) is awesome for foiling with little reefs/bombies out the back that break & then reform all the way to the beach...
Sanur is supposed to be good & up to the left of Medawi has another good foil wave my mates go to that live here...

Thanks greatly for your recommendations. I'm so looking forward to some new waves in water water, warm climate and for the first time foiling, not wearing a steamer. Berawa sounds great and I will head their first! It reminds me of the excitement of the first time I took my surfboard to Bali in the 90's.
