Thank's DJ, this vidéo has been recorded around my place and I already did wonder before if it was possible to foil ride those well know tidal spots on the river near Bordeaux.
Your input make me tracking the proper gear to do that exiting new feeling, foiling off waves what I'm dreaming to do from once I have seen Kay Lenny do it. Now, I'm looking at the Papenoo 7'7" which can fit the bill to do SUP surfing, SUP foil and some windsurfing too:

Is the sup foil different from the kite board foil Kami? I see the initial vid using the kite foil

Hello Gizzie, I know just a few about foil...only thing I can say is the front wing is larger to do SUP or Surfing. Wings area is up to the speed it goes, kite board is faster so smaller wings than surfboards.
You may find more info on foil size looking at gofoil.com/

OK, OK I would practice foil away from others and be very careful by myself because that's look such really worst than my scare ass since a sharp single fin hit me by the late 70'

I'm already frightened......wear helmet and impact vest. Impact vest just for the extra float........but who wouldn't wear a helmet on a windy day where your board blows off the wave and comes down who knows where?
