Hi,

i am trying to understand what does the foil geometry change in the feedback of the foil.

For exemple if you look at the new 2020 Naish Jet foil you can see that the Mast is kinda upper the back of the front Wing.

On another side of you look at the Acis or GOFoil you can see that the mast of really behind the beginning of the front wing.

I am wondering what theses different geometries change

I started foiling on a Slingshot setup which had the option of mounting the mast right on top of the wing or further back.

Up front it was way less trimmed up, much more stable in pitch/harder to turn. Was touted as easier to learn on, and probably was. Mounted back it back it was super lifty in comparison.

Thanks ! I just feel the Naish is a lot harder to Pump than a go foil for exemple but I am trying to understand why

Is it a Large?

That's not a very big wing..... beside that, the other Naish variable is the tail adjustment and the mast position in the tracks.

i found pumping easier to learn in the early days by putting the foil as far forward as I could handle so it would flare up when I lifted my legs. I've since moved to a more neutral trim with smaller less lifty stab but my wing (Iwa) is on the large side.

Hard to pump if the wing is too small.

This is the new 2000 wing. You can t adjust the position of the mast on the fuselage :-( I woule
have love to be able to put it a little more behind.
