Hate it when my leg rope/leash tangles around my foil!

Especially when having to face on coming waves. So frustrating!
So far I used a coiled one that was a little better. But........ still had to untangle the thing after it knots up. And it broke just after a few uses. So back to a normal leggie I went. Which was OK with my Slingshot H4 as long as I would pull it up with one hand as I got back on board. But since I got my NeilPryde large wing, it was happening again but more often & just after most falls when foil is side on to wave. Must be because the large wing sticks further out to the side to catch the leggie.
So I remembered one of the guys from Blue Planet saying he attached a small float or cork & said he had no more problems.
So then I found an old champagne cork, drilled a hole just smaller than the diameter of my leggie, cut a slit just wide enough to push the leggie sideways through the slit into the hole. The slit will open up further as you push it in, but the cork will clamp tightly around the leggie to stop it sliding. I positioned the cork halfway along the leggie. Then tried it on my last session. It works! Not one tangle around my foil. But the cork nearly came off only once. Which I only had to push it back into the cork.
So after getting home I stuck some silastic into the slit. So I will see how it works in the next few sessions.
