Is it possible / worthwhile or do you need ocean swell. Thinking of giving sup foiling a go bit i dont get down the coast very often. I sup in the bay and regularly kite with a foil. Just wondering if it is worth going a large sup wing and doing dw"s with it.

There's no doubt in my mind it's doable and I'm thinking a large or extra large wing is the way to go.

Will be easily doable as long as you put a bit of time in and have the right gear. This is me in Hood river in what I would call maybe 12 to 15 knots, now this is a river not the ocean and all wind chop with some current flow. Key as I said is having the right gear for the conditions you want to go in and then practice. It is very worth it once you get that is foresure. If you have trouble knowing what is right and wrong gear feel free to PM me as I am always more than happy to help.

Here in Perth they have been downwinding on the Swan River during storms on prone boards. Pretty amazing to witness.

Are you riding swells made by wind in a land locked river/lake? Surely you are not!

Yes and the bumps you can get are as good as anywhere. Here are a few vids showing this place.

How big is the lake? Surely you don't get these conditions all the time?
