Considering getting into this thing called DW foiling. Me 76kg, accomplished SUP surfer boards around 100L, 3 years into the foiling journey and serious foil brain. Looking for a board with multi-purpose: light-wind winging, SUP foiling and god forbid one day DW foiling.
Debating between a 96L 6'8 x 19.5 or 107L 7'2 x 20.25.
Opinions plzzzzz.afraid the longer board will be too long for winging and SUPing whereas the shorter board too short and too tippy for DWing.
Conditions mosty short period bay chop.
What do my fellow frothers think?
IMO:
For Light wind winging and SUP: Just shy of 7ft x 19 or 20" seems to be the sweet spot, especially a board with long foil tracks.
For SUP DW: +7ft 6, minimum 30L volume, big foil. Given you have SUP experience you may pick it up faster than others.
Both have trade off's, depends on which one you are likely to do the most.
