I'm not a surf foiler, but I've had a few sessions on the F32 wing foiling and kite foiling. With the wing, it takes quite a bit of wind to get going as you can't really pump it off the surface. You have to pump the wing until you get a bit of flight speed, then you can foot pump it. If you try to foot pump too early it just drops straight back down. But I was pleasantly surprised because I wasn't sure if it would even be possible at all, especially as I am quite new to wingfoiling. But once up, it glides so well and is so easy to keep flying, you can ride the smallest bumps with it, and transitions are super easy.
For kiting it's a dream, especially if you're flying a small peak or cloud like I do. To me it feels like a super efficient kite foil, playful and easy to turn, but it's pumpable in a way I've never experienced with any other kitefoil. Which is awesome for linking windswell through flat sections without kite power. It needs a little more take off speed compared to most surf foils, it's more like a regular kitefoil in that way too. I'm used to popping up straight onto the foil with surf wings. Lift is progressive rather than aggressive. You don't get blown out by sudden bursts of power or speed. Foil speed range is massive.
The F28 or even the F24 may be a great addition for kiting, at some point, and I'll most certainly get the F38 for winging which I reckon is going to be magic, and possibly even the F42 for light wind days. The F32 is definitely the do-it-all size. It's been a long wait for these wings to come out, but so far it looks like it's going to have been worth it.
it is common with higher aspect wings that you require a little more speed to get them up on foil, but once up, they glide far more efficiently as they have considerably less drag than a low aspect wing.
