It looks fine costing about $800 delivered from China in maybe a month. Because it's an unknown brand name would have little resale value. You probably would be better picking up a NeilPryde surf large foil for $1500 normally from a dealer such as SurfFx. They have a 20% off sale ( easter20 code) right now with delivery. I'm sure other dealers would match in the current climate. Otherwise look for a good brand name second hand here on Seabreeze and grow with a brand that offers other wing options. Good luck.

Price, with delivery is 480usd.

I personally wouldn't buy it off the net without being able to look at one in the flesh first.

A friend of mine mine bought a foil from china that was supposed to be a gofoil kai clone. The wing shape and construction was pretty good and all the parts looked ok but the connection points were not the same, it just simply bolted together without any proper connections to ensure any real rigidity. This all resulted in a very wonky ride.

I would really want to be sure that it was a good solid rig that is going to work properly before I forked out the cash.

Heaps of bargains going on second hand gear that are proven setups that you know will get the job done.

Totally agree with that.

I had a couple of Chifoils early on.
TBH both were really good (in comparison to early gen Naish etc) but you always end up in the same quandry.....you need or want different wings, and can't get them. As mentioned above, resale isn't great either but you don't pay much in the first place.
I've done all the dumb things, I'd advise you to spend the money on a second hand Gofoil or similar and you'll be covered fairly cheaply with lots of options.

Concur. Was maybe worth the punt 2 years ago to try a China rip off for more than half price of buying new, but with more on the market now (new on sale and/or used foil with proven rep), definitely go the NP....or similar...you'll never look back!

Honestly, at that price its worth serious consideration - it looks pretty nicely made. If the connections suck, epoxy them solid and don't look back. That particular wing doesn't look like a direct rip-off of any other design (is it?). I would not be supportive of buying out of the back-door from a Chinese manufacturer that is selling a direct copy (or even more likely an unbranded version off the same tools). I prefer to support the significant R&D and engineering that goes into these. If we don't, we're not going to keep getting improvements!

You might save upfront but you will never be able to resell it. Learn from the people above who did it. Buy cheap Buy twice

At a glance, it looks like it is using the same standard aluminum mast that Gong and early Naish foils use. That mast is a hold over from kite surfing and has been proven to be too noodly for most riders on larger surf foil wings like the 90cm one pictured.

Agree with other comments here - buy a second hand known brand. You will have great resale value and you know the quality is there. Fact is, this stuff breaks. Buy cheap, buy twice.

So you buy from China save a few bucks , then you get better and want a smaller foil to prone or a bigger wing to downwind or you want to start wing foiling . Then you want to get into the high aspect thing . Suddenly you realise that the low budget wing has no brothers or sisters . That $600 you forked out is now lucky to be worth $300 to sell to some other unsuspecting punter to repeat the cycle .
It really does sh!t me to tears when people pick my brains for advice and then turn around and buy some unknown unproven Chinese wing and then they still come back to me and say I can't pump it or it's too slow what can I do . My response " The poor man always pays the most "

The for sale section on Seabreeze is full of first generation Gofoil , Naish , NP , Slingshot , Fanatic ect proven products at near the Chinese price . Which you can easily upgrade to the new wings . You guys need to realise that the people that sponsor and support this site sink huge amounts of cash into R&D on the foils . So please don't come on here and ask about some Walmart wing that contributes nothing to the advancement of foiling .

I'm always happy to respond to any request to help you get going but when I give my advice it might cost a bit more but you will be foiling must faster and happier rather than stumbling around on a cheap piece of sh!t for 3 months and getting nowhere. Yes you might learn to foil on one but as soon as you get better you simply have to turn around and flog it off a half what you paid and then buy what you should have in the first place .
You are dreaming if you think one wing will suit all what you want to do .

Times are tough support your local shops , it comes back ten fold in the long run .

Also, a lot of these no-name brands just copy the wing from a brand and the stab from another (even from kite foils), to avoid being sued easily.

To be fair though Colas, I haven't ridden a foil yet that didn't go better with several inches cut off the stab, or some time with a grinder. Gofoil, Gong, Naish....none of them are perfect out of the box because everyone is different.

Well, that is not the same as putting together a wing and a stab not designed with angles of attack designed to work together for instance...

Foiling is hard enough to learn without trying to do it on a setup that is not tested and proven and made by people who can't ride them, not worth the risk I recon, especially as a learner you'll have no idea if it's you or the foil that is the problem when nothing is working.

Totally agree with everyone. Tnx for advice! I have totally noob question, maybe is difficult to tell. What is lowest boat speed for foil to "lift", with average weight (80kg/176lbs) and large wing? ??

A few variables there , but a tinny with a 15 hp motor will do it easy
