Piros said..Each to his own but don't quiet understand the resistance to the wing ding Jacko as there are now ton of wing foil specific hard boards coming out . Fanatic are about to drop a whole new Sky Wing prone range . 4-8 x 55L , 5-0 x 75L , 5-4 x 95L. F-One & a few others are following suit . Sup wing specific boards from all brands are all coming out as well . Foil wing designers are now tuning the front and rear wing for better reaching and easier launch and lower stall speed on the wing foil. You make one of the best DW paddle boards. Just don't understand your resistance to the wing boards . I reckon you could make a cracker

No resistance to the board side(kind off) just not getting involved in making inflatable toys as that side is not really our thing.
I have winged a few times and on this wing specific boards I am still really to get my head around it. My board that I use for DW and also the same board i use in the waves also seemed to work very well with the wing, yeah sure I could make myself a 50L little narrow board that I can't stand on and have to drift out on my knees and then is really only good for one thing but just struggling to see how this is a good thing.
Right now sounds like a bunch of marketing hype. Most crew I see struggle to get going on a board that is a decent size for them so how are these guys going to go when they are talked in to a board that they will sink on and really start to struggle on. Might be ok in the flat for some but let's see how most go once they hit the ocean.
You can't watch what Kai and that F-one kid are doing as they are super gifted and can stand on anything.
Maybe I am way off and people do want to drop $2000 On a board just for winging? Maybe the skill level will get higher and the market will see the need for this but right now it's is a massive sport in a tiny bubble and this may confuse some brands.
By the way why would you say I have a resistance to winging? Never talked to you personally about the sport and in fact have said it has a very important place in the sport for certain areas, maybe right at the start I was on the fence and for myself I don't really see much use for a wing but as a way to learn to foil better it is a great way and for those who want to get into DW it is a great entry into it and I see some racing coming through as well so definitely not negitve on it and definitely no negitve talk in my posts above about it.
Next you will say I am negitve on prone foiling because I don't prone foil at the alley everyday in between the crowded surfers!! Just because you don't see me do something does not mean I am against it and in many cases I just do it away from the crowds and where people are watching as I am not always into big crowds unless I am pushed for time or feeling lazy.
Hope that clears things up.
