Lots of new wings lately, and I know a few of you, like Piros, have had a chance to test them. So which would you prefer for downwinding. Axis 980? Takuma kujira? Moses w1100? Something else? If you had to pick one, which one and why?
I reckon that would be a tough one for anyone to answer.
Are you talking with a paddle?
Weight, experience, conditions, paddle or wing would all have to be factored in
e.g. for me on Axis foils I still love the 900 or 1000 for downwind with the wing (I don't have any of the black series yet and haven't tried any of the others you mention) but I have no chance of paddling them onto the foil.
For paddling onto the foil downwind I have only ever managed to get going on the 1150 and 1020 (I haven't tried but in the right conditions I could probably manage on the 1010) however once up I would much rather be on a smaller wing.
Younger, lighter, fitter more experienced paddlers would not even consider the 1150 or 1020.
Everything is a compromise and everyone will be different.
